There are many ways to use pizza dough, and these garlic knots are just one example. As I said before (and I will repeat it again and again) – pizza is the perfect comfort food for me, and that is the reason why I love finding the new uses for the pizza dough.
This is one really simple way of utilizing my recipe for the perfect pizza dough that gives you the most wonderful crust every time. These garlic knots are really easy to make, especially if you have leftover pizza dough in your freezer (YES! Of course, you can make and freeze your own pizza dough! Just make sure to thaw it on time and let it come to room temperature before using).

Of course, you always have the option of making pizza dough from scratch (here is the recipe for my perfect pizza dough) or using the store-bought pizza dough if you don’t have enough time. I always love to make my own pizza dough because it is a really simple recipe, the dough is much softer and the flavor is phenomenal! Also, I just enjoy making my recipes from scratch and the kneading process is so therapeutic and relaxing.
These homemade garlic knots are so soft and chewy, and super delicious on their own (especially straight from the oven), but they are even tastier when paired with my parmesan yogurt dip. OMG, you must try this combo! The tangy taste of the garlic in combination with Greek yogurt and parmesan – C’mon! Can you think of anything better?
Trust me, if you make this recipe tonight and everything will be gone in a flash!

Ingredients
- Pizza dough ( click here to get the recipe for my perfect pizza dough )
- 1/2 stick of unsalted butter
- 3 large garlic cloves
- Handful of parsley
- 1 tsp sea salt
- 400 g (14 oz.) Greek yogurt ( click here to get the recipe for homemade Greek yogurt )
- 3 heap Tbsp mayo
- 50 g grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley
Directions
- Preheat your oven to 220°C (425°F), and line baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Take a big pinch of pizza dough, roll it between your hands to make it longer, and then tie it into a knot and place on baking sheet. Repeat with the rest of the dough, and set aside to rise for a few minutes.
- Mince garlic cloves as much as you can, then add sea salt and turn it into a paste by pressing everything with the side of your knife.
- Add parsley leaves and cut it over the garlic paste and finely as you can.
- Melt butter over medium heat. When it's all melted, add parsley and garlic paste mixture, and let everything fry in the butter for 30 seconds, and move off the heat. Let it cool down for a few minutes.
- Brush half of this garlic mixture over the pizza dough knots, and bake them in preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, until they are puffed and formed a crust.
- In the meantime make a yogurt parmesan dip by mixing together Greek yogurt, mayo, grated parmesan and fresh parsley.
- As soon as you get them out of the oven, brush the rest of the garlic mixture over, and serve immediately with the dip that you've made. Enjoy!
